Shannon Marie Daugherty
Born 1983. Resides in Queens, New York.
Ms. Daugherty studied at Pratt Institute earning her B.F.A. in Communications Design in 2006, and again at the NYU George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising Certificate Program in 2011. She has been active within other artist groups and collectives, and is one of the founding members of the nonprofit organization, Citizens for the Arts (CFA). Using those platforms, she has conducted group activities such as workshops and lectures, with communities nationally and internationally. Projects reflect a variety of socially engaging topics using print mediums, and aspire to reach out to other community members.
Her visual and written pieces have appeared in publications such as the UK based arts magazine and blog, Sang Bleu. Additionally, her work can be found in United Academics Journal of Social Sciences (Amsterdam) and Psycho Moto (NYC).
